Running latest Pro Tools on OSX Big Sur on a new M1 mac mini, with Rosetta. 3 Mid-2012 MacBook Pro modeline macOS Big Sur yklyoruz. It looked like everything was fine, but it isn't. The only boring thing I see, at my level, is the iLok key: luckily, some plugin developper are getting rid of it, and you can also make a good job with the provided plugins (which was not the case a few years ago). Not sure these instructions are definitive, but they worked for me. 2) Spitfire Audio app in Rosetta mode (repaired all libraries in Rosetta mode). Please see the Audinate web page for complete information on Dante Big Sur support. I had to do two things: 1) Logic is in Rosetta mode.

I won't make a complete review, I'm a faitfhful user (think: the first version I've used was 4.3, if I recall well and it fitted on a floppy!!!), so it's hard to say something bad about ProTools as it has got better and better through the years. I was able to get BBCSO and Logic 10.6 running on my M1 MacBook Pro under Big Sur (11.2). The first time I've heard about version ten was because of the new Souncloud feature, which is probably the most stupid and useless idea they ever had.Įxcept for that, it's a must have (I won't compare it to Logic, Cubase or else, it basically depends on your habits, but I'm keen to think that for audio editing, nobody beats ProTools.Īpparently, someone at Avid has just recalled Digidesign once created a page here.
